Abortion Is On The Ballot, Yet Again

The topic of abortion has been thrown around a ton recently due to the activity within the political system. Roe v. Wade being overturned just a few years ago gave the states the right to determine abortion limits in their own borders.  Abortion will remain a hot topic until election day, with Vice President Harris campaigning on a nationwide “right to abortion” that would override any limits currently in place in individual states.,

In Texas, abortion is illegal through all nine months except in cases where a mother’s life is in danger. Many states have followed Texas’ lead and countless innocent lives have been saved.

Unfortunately, the number of abortions in America has risen due to women leaving their home states in order to have an abortion. This has led to dangerous and life-threatening consequences. That’s why TFP supports a federal abortion ban! A ban would significantly limit the complications women may encounter from shoddy abortion procedures.

We have seen situations where women have left their home state to have an abortion and ended up losing theirs due to common complications from the abortion pill or abortion procedures. If abortion was illegal at the federal level, multiple lives would be saved.

Harris and Governor Tim Walz have been campaigning on the promise to codify Roe, which would make abortion legal in all 50 states. Former President Donald Trump has said that if a federal abortion ban came across his desk, he wouldn’t sign it, but Trump’s running mate, Senator J.D. Vance has made multiple comments over the years suggesting he is in favor of a federal abortion ban.

Whatever happens on election day, abortion will continue to be a topic of nationwide debate. Remember what is on the ballot this November.
