The proposed budget for fiscal year 2024 reveals a deeply troubling direction, with the Dallas Office of Arts & Culture (OAC) planning to increase support for cultural celebrations, including the highly controversial LGBTQ Pride Month.
A Dangerous Path: LGBTQ+ Values Run Amok
The proposed budget's focus on LGBTQ+ values is a dangerous path that threatens the very fabric of our society. By facilitating cultural celebrations such as Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Indigenous People's Month, Women's History Month, Asian American and Pacific Islanders History Month, and LGBTQ Pride Month, the City of Dallas is pandering to the liberal agenda.
Pride Month: An Affront to the Family
The City's celebration of Pride Month, which began in June 2020, is a particular affront to traditional values. The recent cancellation of a "Pride Street Party" themed "A Night of a Thousand Drag Queens" is a small victory for decency.
