EXPOSED: Dallas “Church” Hosts Drag Queens

Writer's picture: Texas Family ProjectTexas Family Project

The Cathedral of Hope church in Dallas is one of the wokest churches in America. Last year, they hosted their first “Celebrating Drag” Sunday service, and we exposed it. We heard their plans to host their second Drag Sunday this year, so we once again made plans to attend the event on February 16. This year, the service was followed by a drag brunch fundraiser to benefit the church.

Sara Gonzales, Vice President of Texas Family Project (TFP), along with Kaden Lopez, Executive Director of TFP were on the scene to expose this event. The “church“ service was led by a drag king, a woman dressed in male attire with a fake beard. This drag king shared how she got into ministry. She also stated her disdain for gender reveal parties. At the end of the service, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were invited on stage along with other local LGBT groups. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have historically had members who have committed crimes against children and performed anti-Christian satire dressed up as nuns.

The congregation gave these LGBT groups a standing ovation. In addition to the drag queens and kings, there were also participants wearing dog masks and pretending to be animals by crawling on the floor. During the church service, the pastors announced their drag brunch would be held after the service to raise funds in defiance of Texas Senate Bill 18 which will ban drag shows in front of children.

TFP covertly attended the advertised drag brunch. The show began with a drag queen making sexually inappropriate and violent jokes, all of which were celebrated by church members. The drag queen went on to make multiple “jokes” about illicit drug use. He also explained how straight white men were “the worst.”

Very quickly, the event turned political. The drag queen who was speaking went on a tangent about Senate Bill 18 and explained all donations given at brunch would help fund lobbyists to fight the bill in Austin. The drag queen also made threats to Trump supporters saying he would “kill them.” He followed up by telling a story about going to Austin last year, and claimed he was planning on fist-fighting Governor Greg Abbott. He made jokes about Governor Abbott not standing up to fight back, a shot at the Governor’s confinement to a wheelchair after a horrific accident several decades ago. Many members of the church staff including the pastor and his “husband” were in attendance and laughing at these dangerous remarks.

TFP  exposed this footage on social media. Dozens of news outlets picked it up. Even Elon Musk commented on the video! Because of our national exposure, the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas sent TFP a letter demanding an apology and a retraction, claiming we defamed them. They now insist if their demands are not met, they will sue our organization.

All we did was shine a light on the nonsense they were propagating with videos of their own activities! This goes to show the lengths entities will go in order to keep dark and deranged views out of the media. Rest assured, we will not be bullied into silence.

We will continue to update the story as new information becomes available. To stay up to date, please follow us on all social media platforms and share the content we post.

TFP is on the front lines for Texas families, as the Left continues waging their anti-family war, and will not back down.
