There are multitudes of major issues affecting the Texans in their everyday lives. We have illegal aliens still flooding through our southern border and taking Texan lives. We have sexual indoctrination in most Texas public schools. We have a major push for casinos to come to the state which would bring mass amounts of sex trafficking. With all of those major issues on the ballot this upcoming session, one candidate, Sally Duval from Texas House District 73, found it appropriate to campaign on the basis of legalizing drugs in Texas.
Sally Duval made a campaign announcement while smoking marijuana. She wants the legalization of deregulation of marijuana. This would allow for Texas to get closer to California policy-wise. Drunk driving is already a major issue and this would add a whole other level to it. Duval makes the claim that this would help farmers but also later said she would love for people to be able to grow it for themselves which would eliminate the need for farmers.
If you dig a little deeper into the social media page in Sally Duval’s name you will find that she is also a major supporter of bringing abortions back to Texas. She talks about making republican voters “think” about the issue more. Duval has also shown her support for Kate Cox who fled Texas to receive an abortion out of state. We have seen most Democrats who are running for a seat in Texas running on the basis of abortion.
We have seen nothing on Sally Duval’s social media about items that will actually help improve the lives of Texans. We have seen nothing on Sally Duval’s social media about combating the sexualization of children in Texas schools. We have seen nothing on Sally Duval’s social media about addressing the crisis at our southern border.
There are very real and important issues that the state of Texas is facing and needs to be addressed in the upcoming session. Many of these candidates running seem to pass off the major issues as if they aren’t happening or just aren’t important to them. Texans don’t want abortion brought back into the state. Texans don’t want drugs legalized or drug use encouraged in our great state.
